All these artists seem to mean well...but some do Haiti support through music better than others:
Exhibit A
And then, some should just leave things well alone.
Exhibit B
(Michael Jackson is rolling in his grave.)
If it's to create support for a cause such as helping Haiti I can fully understand why such videos are made. But the We Are the World Revisted tribute is plainly a spectacle of class b (there a def a few worthwhile artists- J. Hudson as always) artists who shouldn't have gotten mic time just to promote themselves (Justin Beiber, Mylie Cyrus, Lil Wayne, etc). Yes this is 2010...but auto-tune? Really did you all really have to use auto-tune? There was definitely a huge rap scene back in 85 and you don't see any of them spitting a rhyme on the original We are the World. Some music just detracts from its mission and this We Are the World Revisted is definitely one of the those. Lupe and Kenna however knew how far to take it. Keep it simple next time. It's not about the artists- it's about the cause. I think many have forgotten that.
But it's the thought that counts right?
You know you want it...
